The thermo-solar concentrators offer an energy efficiency of approximately 85-90%, 4 times higher than than photovoltaic panels. This fact makes them very attractive for the fields where thermal energy is needed (steam generation, water heating, industrial chemical processes, smelters, etc.). Depending on the type of concentrator used, temperatures between 100-3000 degrees Celsius can be obtained. The biggest disadvantage is the low efficiency during the winter, but they can still be considered as a viable solution for the warm season.
